privacy policy

1. what we collect

When you use Sinne, we collect:

  • Email address — collected when you create an account, used to identify you and send you app-related communications.
  • Conversation text — the chat messages you paste or upload for analysis.
  • Analysis results — AI-generated summaries, patterns, and metrics derived from your conversations.
  • Usage data — basic app interaction data (e.g. which features you use) to improve the product.
  • Forum sharing data — if you choose to share analysis to the community forum, we store your AI verdict, outcome badge, and key metrics (anonymized by default).

We do not collect names, phone numbers, or any information from the other person in your conversations beyond what you paste in.

Third-party content in your submissions: When you submit a conversation for analysis, that conversation may contain messages written by another person, not just you. By submitting a conversation, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with any applicable laws regarding the recording or sharing of communications in your jurisdiction. We do not independently verify this. The other person's message content is processed the same way yours is (see Section 3) solely to generate your analysis — we do not use it for any other purpose and do not attempt to identify them.

2. how your data is stored and retained

Your data is stored securely on Base44's cloud infrastructure and is tied to your account, accessible only by you.

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (AES-256 or equivalent).

Retention:

  • • Raw conversation text and analysis results (summaries, metrics, badges) are retained until you delete them or delete your account.
  • • Backups are purged on a rolling 30-day cycle; deleted data may persist in backups for up to that period before being fully erased.

3. third-party AI processing

When you submit a conversation for analysis, the text is sent to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic, Google, or similar) to generate insights. This is necessary for the core functionality of the app.

This means your conversation text is processed by an external AI model. We use API-level access, which means your data is not used to train the AI model and is not retained by the AI provider beyond the duration of the API call, per their data processing agreements.

By using Sinne, you consent to this AI processing of your submitted text.

4. data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or other third parties, except:

  • • The AI provider used for conversation analysis (as described above)
  • • When required by law or valid legal process

5. your data rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you by contacting us at support@sinne.app.
  • Deletion — delete individual conversations or forum posts within the app, or delete your full account using the "delete account" button. Deleted data is removed from active systems immediately and from backups within 30 days.
  • Correction — update inaccurate account information (e.g. email) in-app or by contacting us.
  • Portability — on request, we can provide your analysis history in a machine-readable format.

If you are located in the EU/UK, California, or another jurisdiction with statutory privacy rights (GDPR, CCPA, or similar), you may have additional rights, including the right to object to processing or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact support@sinne.app for any of these requests.

Deleted data cannot be recovered.

6. age requirement

Sinne is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18.

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will delete the account and associated data promptly. If you believe a minor has created an account or submitted data, contact us at support@sinne.app.

7. changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
